
Dr Hiroshi AKIYAMA
Dr. Hiroshi Akiyama received PhD in pharmaceutical science in Chiba University in Japan (1993), He has been major in the Analytical Chemistry. He began to research at Division of Foods in National Institute Health Sciences (NIHS) since 1993. He had visited Post Doctor researcher training at MacMaster University in Canada for one year. He then promoted to Head of Division of Food Additives in NIHS in 2011. He moved to Head of Division of Foods in 2015. He has been Professor and Head of the Drug Development and Pharmaceutical Science Course, Hoshi University in Tokyo from 2021.He is one of the member in the Japanese government’s advisory committee on food allergy labeling. He is the visiting professor in Taipei Medical University in Taiwan. He was awarded the Significant Contribution Award (2010) and the Society Award (2020) in Japanese Society for Food Hygiene and Safety.
