Jason TYE-DIN
Jason Tye-Din is a clinician-researcher who leads the Coeliac Research Laboratory at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and directs the Snow Centre for Immune Health in Melbourne, Australia. His research defined gluten T cell epitopes relevant to coeliac disease and has identified biomarkers of gluten immunotoxicity. He studies the biological effects of gluten in coeliac disease and collaborates with academia and industry to advance patient safety and develop novel diagnostics and treatments. As Co-Chair of the Gluten Safety and Standards Committee of the International Society for the Study of Celiac Disease, he works with clinicians, food scientists, industry, analytical experts, and patient groups to build the evidence for a safe gluten threshold. In 2025, he served as Rapporteur for the FAO/WHO Expert Consultation on Risk Assessment of Food Allergens on the gluten reference dose.
